School rules sucked for me! I hated having to do things just because I was told to. School rules, however, were necessary for managing the large number students.

The competitions in school, whether academic or otherwise, there were a set rules we all had to follow, they kept a level playing field.

Real life doesn’t work that way, on the macro there are still laws of governance, criminal law and laws in business but on the micro, in the everyday struggle we are all free to make free choices.

Choices that should be liberate us from situations and put us ahead. Those choices will not be based off one global standard, no it will be very individual.

So unlike school, you cant expect someone to learn like you, you cant expect someone to get a job straight after university like you,you cant expect them to go into their field of study from Uni, you cant expect your colleagues to be considerate, to cover for you and you definitely cant expect that people in business will play by the same rules as you.

While its common for this to be a cause for complaints and worry I see this as an advantage.

You get to do you, you get to do what you want to do how you want to do it and reap the rewards. We all function different, we all have different goals, desires and passions to peruse. This means we all have different finish lines and our own paths to those finish lines.

So snap out of the idea of having to fold to ANY status quo. Find yourself, set your own goals, work towards those goals and get to YOUR finish line how YOU want.
